Bogash

I'm one of those unusual individuals that really, really enjoyed my cellular physiology class in graduate school. I am still fascinated by physiology, and I'm always learning more about the human body. In a typical month, I scan more than one hundred peer-reviewed medical journals, looking for the latest research on natural medicine, nutrition, disease prevention and disease management. I am also constantly researching and learning about the best methods of soft-tissue treatment so that my patients can obtain the best outcomes possible.

The focus of my practice is Functional Medicine. What does this mean for you? It means that I am primarily concerned with finding the causes of your problems, and the ways by which we can prevent them from recurring, rather than narrowly focusing on your symptoms. It means that I am concerned with your entire medical history and lifestyle, and the ways that these factors impact your health. If you come to me with low back pain, for example, I will look for all of the factors that are contributing to your pain and all of the methods by which we can prevent the pain from recurring.

In addition to my love of chiropractic medicine, I have a great interest in fitness. I have seriously studied the martial arts for over fifteen years. I have a black belt in Isshinryu karate, I'm an apprentice instructor of Progressive Fighting Systems (PFS) and currently train in jiu-jitsu. I promise not to confuse the martial arts and the chiropractic training!

Education and Community Involvement: National University of Health Sciences, 1997. Board Member and member of AZ Association of Chiropractic. Board Member and member of Kiwanis Club of Tempe. MUAC (manipulation under anesthesia certified). Graston Technique certified. Cox Distraction Technique certified.

Recognition: Named to PHOENIX magazine's Top Chiropractors list in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Since acquiring a passion for how the body works in chiropractic school, I have continued to indulge this desire by reading some 120 peer-reviewed medical journals per month. I'm always learning more about how to help people avoid chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, dementia, osteoporosis, obesity and cancer, and I pass along this information in my blog. There are currently well over 4,000 posts and 1,000 videos, cataloged on almost every health topic imaginable.

For some reason, the information we understand about avoiding and managing chronic diseases remains a big secret. Drugs dominate and lifestyle is pushed to the side. Time after time, new patients come into my office who have not been given the information they need to get or stay healthy. The blog has always served as therapy for me, letting me share this hidden information with the world — hence the name “rantings.”

The stories I hear back from readers who have made changes to their lifestyle are the most rewarding experience I know of. If these blog entries have given you insight into your health challenges, I would encourage you to share them with me. I typically post a few articles a week, and they go out live on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter so you don't miss any of them.

Bio: Dr. Bogash was raised in the frigid suburbs of Chicago and graduated with his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After working for three years, he went back to school and graduated from National University of Health Sciences with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997, moving to Arizona in the spring of 1998.

He opened LifeCare Chiropractic in March of 1998 and has been actively involved in educating the community ever since. He has served, or currently serves, on the boards of directors of the Kiwanis Club of Tempe, the Tempe YMCA and the Arizona Association of Chiropractic.

Dr. Bogash stays current by reading in excess of 120 peer-reviewed medical journals per month, and uses his knowledge of physiology combined with new research to educate patients on the best ways to avoid or manage chronic disease. His 10-week lifestyle management class is one of the most comprehensive programs available for teaching patients everything they need to make positive lifestyle changes. Because of this passion for knowledge, helping patients and clarifying tough health issues, he has become a sought-after lecturer.

Of particular interest to him is neurophysiology and its impact on conditions like epilepsy, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's disease. Many researchers believe we have found what causes these conditions, and the means to help prevent them in future generations is waiting to be used.

As a chiropractic physician, Dr. Bogash also stays current on the latest treatments in physical medicine. He is one of a handful of physicians in Arizona certified in the Graston Technique, arguably one of the most effective soft-tissue treatments for difficult cases and chronic injuries involving scar tissue.
