So, this study finds that, the heavier a woman is when she gets pregnant, the more likely she is to underreport the amount of calories she is taking in, and the more likely she is to not be taking in enough folic acid.

More and more studies are finding that health during prepregnancy and pregnancy is a major predictor of the long term health of the child all the way into adulthood.  We are preprogramming this infant’s genes before they are even born!!  Leaves them with little chance to avoid chronic diseases as they get older.
