Antibiotics account for 19% of emergency department visits in US for adverse events

As if, given the information above, the use of antibiotics wreaks havoc on a developing infants immune system, data suggests that the rate of immediate (vs. delayed w/ destruction of normal flora) side effects from antibiotic prescription requiring an ER visit are much higher than anticipated overall, and that this high rate was even higher among infants 12 months and younger.
