DIET WITH PHYTONUTRIENTS MITIGATES INFLAMMATION – (12-27-06)

Glucose ingestion induces an increase in intranuclear nuclear factor ÎºB, a fall in cellular inhibitor ÎºB, and an increase in tumor necrosis factor Î±messenger RNA by mononuclear cells

Hate to start off an Update with a title like that, but…  One thing people may not realize is that the mere act of eating is an inflammatory process.  Our best bet is to eat a diet loaded with phytonutrients to mitigate this inflammation.

This article just further confirms this process and looks at glucose’s ability to turn on the entire inflammatory cascade.  Compare this with the ingestion of refined carbs–all the sugar with no phytonutrients.
