This Superfruit Can Help Avoid Diabetes

There are definitely certain plants on this planet that pack quite a wallop when it comes to protecting our bodies.  Acai, pomegranate, lychee, goji.

While wild blueberries do not sound as exotic, they are on the list of powerful superfoods.  And seriously…just how difficult is it to eat a small cup of frozen wild blueberries per day?  The only fight I ever had with my toddler over ingestion of wild blueberries was WHERE he was going to ingest them (wild or not, they still stain…).

This particular study found that daily doses of blueberries (they did not use wild, but wild is more potent) helped with markers of prediabetes and markers of oxidative stress.  As an FYI, the wild frozen blueberries are always cheaper than the sale prices of conventionally grown blueberries.
